“Where there is hope, there is faith. Where there is faith, miracles happen.”
Gerard M. Schuhl
June 18, 1965 – September 7, 2015
Jerry “Biggs” Schuhl battled heart disease for his whole life, and on September 7, 2015 he lost the hard battle. Throughout his fight, his family and friends prayed tirelessly for a miracle, and during the funeral Mass we were reminded of the many miracles that surrounded Jerry in his life. Jerry, himself, was a miracle: born with a heart defect that doctors expected to take him by the age of 5. Still, Jerry’s life provided his family and friends with 50 amazing years of laughter, love, friendship, and fraternity. While Jerry didn’t get the miracle he was praying for, we are also reminded of the many miracles that surrounded him everyday: a supportive wife, three loving daughters, and countless caring friends and family. While we, the family and friends of Jerry, mourn his loss, we remain thankful for the many miracles Jerry brought to our lives, and for all of the support Jerry received during his life. Please continue to keep Jerry’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
